Renewals

Transfers

To transfer a .site domain, you'll need your current registrar to provide you with the domain's AuthCode or EPP-Key to verify ownership.

Transfers typically take between 5 to 7 days to complete, but some registrars offer manual transfers that can be done on the same day. You should contact your current registrar to inquire about this service. Also, after a transfer, the domain's expiration date is extended by one year.

Cancellations

If you wish to cancel your .site domain, you can request it through the support center. However, please note that canceling a domain does not result in a refund of any registration fees.

Effective December 1st, 2016, any changes in ownership of .site domains require approval from both the current and new owners.

Permitted characters / IDN

site domains allow characters from 'a' to 'z', numbers from '0' to '9', and hyphens '-'. Hyphens are not allowed in the first or last position of the domain name, and two consecutive hyphens are not allowed in the 3rd and 4th positions. IDN characters are permitted in .site domains. You can use various character tables based on the script you choose. However, mixing different scripts or character sets (e.g., Latin, Greek, Cyrillic) is not allowed.
