DNS modifications are immediate, but they must propagate through the network, which can take up to 6-12 hours to complete. During this time, the domain will still point to the previous DNS servers.

Starting from December 1st, 2016, any changes in ownership for .NET domains require approval from both the current and new domain owners. Once the ownership change has been successfully processed, the domain is locked and cannot be transferred for a 60-day period.
.NET domains allow the use of characters from 'a' to 'z', numbers from '0' to '9', and hyphens '-'. However, a hyphen '-' is not permitted in the first or last position of the domain name, and two consecutive hyphens are not allowed in the 3rd and 4th position. Additionally, .NET domains support IDN (Internationalized Domain Name) characters.
